Tracey was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 1983. Following a period as an Associate to a Judge of the Supreme Court, Tracey commenced practice in 1986, initially with Aldermans which subsequently became Piper Alderman, a national law firm. Tracey left Piper Alderman to establish KJK Legal with several colleagues from that firm in October 2011.

After more than 30 years in practice, Tracey has developed an extensive practice in workers compensation, work health and safety, and insurance litigation. Tracey acts for both registered and self-insured employers, and her clients include a number of “blue chip” companies.

Tracey has acted as a consultant to a number of clients in providing in-house advice on particular files and/or issues. More recently, she has assisted clients in updating policies procedures as a result of the introduction of the Return To Work Act 2014.

Tracey has expertise in general insurance, particularly public liability claims and recovery claims for self-insured corporate entities. She also has considerable expertise in asbestos and silicosis claims and has been listed in Doyle’s Guide for Recommended Leading Dust Disease Liability Lawyers and Leading Workers Compensation Lawyers.

As an expert in workers compensation issues, Chrissy has extensive experience advising on how the Return to Work Act 2014 (SA), and its predecessor the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1986 (SA), apply to injured worker claims in South Australia.  With nearly 20 years’ experience, having practised on ‘both sides of the fence’, Chrissy has specialised in workers compensation law since being admitted into practice in 2003.

Her invaluable experience understanding the different perspectives of all the key parties involved in this challenging field, and her ability to develop relationships with all stakeholders in the litigation process, help her efficiently manage and resolve disputes.

Chrissy has provided representation for ReturnToWorkSA and its agents Employers Mutual Limited and Gallagher Bassett for most of her career.  She has also acted for several self-insured and self-managed employers, as well as the Crown.  She has advised clients on their strategies for handling workers compensation claims and represented them in disputes in the South Australian Employment Tribunal, including proceedings in the Full Court of the Supreme Court of South Australia and the South Australian Court of Appeal.

She has acted on a series of significant scheme matters under the Return to Work Act 2014 (SA) and is no stranger to providing detailed and forensic advice, tailored to achieving the optimum results for her clients.

Despite Chrissy’s passion for workers compensation matters, she has appeared in the Magistrates Court and District Court jurisdiction, having also practiced in CTP, public liability, medical negligence, and superannuation law.

In addition to legal representation, Chrissy has provided training to ReturnToWorkSA and its agents on topics relating to the Return to Work Act 2014 and very much enjoys mentoring and developing young practitioners.

Chrissy is fluent in Greek.

Claire began working with Tracey Kerrigan as a Law Clerk in 2001 prior to her admission in 2002 and has remained in the employment, workplace, and personal injuries jurisdictions ever since.  Claire has made the most of opportunities to work on “both sides of the fence” in that time.  She has practised in a number of areas of civil litigation and industrial law during her career.

Claire provides advice and representation to registered employers of all sizes, self-insured employers, public entities, and insurance companies on a range of workplace issues including workers compensation, unfair dismissal, sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination matters.

She runs a busy and vibrant practice which involves hands-on advice in the working environment if necessary, including in-house services.

Claire has been involved in a number of committees and has contributed to the ongoing parliamentary changes in the jurisdiction.  Claire is able to assist in developing and rolling out training for employers and the management of policies and procedures, as well as claims management and statutory framework.

Claire has been acknowledged several times is Doyle’s Guide as a leading practitioner in the areas of workers compensation and employment law.

Oliver joined KJK Legal in 2020 and returned as a Senior Associate in 2024, having worked for a national insurance litigation firm and boutique commercial and dispute resolution firm.

With experience in workers compensation, work health and safety, and general insurance litigation, he has regularly appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court, District Court of South Australia, and the South Australian Employment Tribunal acting on behalf of insurers, self-insurers, and employers across South Australia.

Oliver also works closely with Director, Tracey Kerrigan in relation to dust disease liability disputes and Director, Neville John on employment law, industrial relations, and heavy vehicle compliance.

Lauren was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2023. Prior to this, she built a solid foundation in civil law while serving as a Court Officer at the Adelaide Magistrates Court. In that role, she gained practical courtroom experience working alongside various magistrates, enhancing her understanding of court procedures and civil litigation dynamics.

After gaining admission, Lauren launched her legal career at a boutique law firm where she embraced a wide-ranging caseload. She developed particular expertise in personal injury and debt recovery, refining her skills in both negotiation and courtroom advocacy. This early stage of her career helped her build a reputation for handling complex client matters efficiently and effectively.

In February 2025, Lauren joined KJK Legal, where she now focuses on workers’ compensation and debt recovery. At KJK Legal, she leverages her diverse legal background to support clients in navigating compensation claims and liability disputes. Her work frequently brings her before the South Australian Employment Tribunal, the Magistrates Courts, and the District Court, where she represents clients in statutory proceedings and contested hearings.

Victor was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in March 2026 and holds degrees in Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Medical Science.  He commenced with KJK Legal in April 2026.

Prior to this Victor worked as a Legal Support Officer at the South Australian Employment Tribunal, assisting the Judicial Members and Commissioners in relation to employment related matters including workers compensation, work health and safety prosecutions, dust diseases, employment and industrial disputes, equal opportunity, and Licensing Court matters.

Since joining KJK Legal Victor works closely with Managing Director, Tracey Kerrigan in relation to workers compensation disputes and insurance litigation and Senior Associate, Oliver Fragnito on heavy vehicle compliance and enforcement law matters.
